Tresia Ellen Higginbotham, 78, died Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Graveside service for Tresia Ellen Higginbotham will be 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Steve Janes and Bro. Charles Edwards officiating. There will be no public visitation.



Tresia Ellen Higginbotham, Russell County, KY (1934-2013)

She was born Friday, November 16, 1934 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Elford & Letha Bradshaw Hayes. She died Monday, July 8, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 78 years, 7 months, and 24 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of the French Valley United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gwin Dawson Higginbotham. Survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters: Patsy Ann (Rick) Maier, Russell Springs, KY; and Vickie Jo (Dan) DeWitt, Lynchburg, VA

  • Four grandchildren: Jason Maier, Jenifer Maier, Dustin DeWitt, and Destiny McGorman

  • Three sisters: Wanda (Jerry) Sullivan, Russell Springs, KY; Helen Morgan, Florida, and Anna Lou Bryant, Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Garnett (Lenora) Hayes, Russell Springs, KY
The family requests memorials to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or French Valley United Methodist church. These can be made at the funeral home.
