Rev. George Austin Price departed this life Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Funeral services will be at 2pmCT/3pmET, Monday, July 8, 2013, at Summersville Baptist Church, Summersville, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT/11amET, at the church. Rev. Leslie Jewell will be the officiating clergy. Interment will be in Green County Memory Gardens, Summersville, KY.



Pallbearers: Austin Hunsaker, Tom Price, Chris Brady, Chad Brady, Lucas Price, and Tommy Hart.

Rev. George Austin Price was born January 23, 1921 in Marceline, MO. He was the son of the late George Austin Price, Sr. and Ethel Mae Coy Price. He departed this life Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO, having attained the age of 92 years, 5 months and 10 days.

Rev. Price had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri. He was a former pastor of the Greensburg Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during World War II. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his precious wife Betty.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Sprngfield, Missouri, and the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Marlene Price of Greenville IN

  • Two daughters: Susan Hunsaker of Pewee Valley, KY, and Becky and Don Brady of Sellersburg, IN

  • One brother: Bob Price of Branson, MO

  • One sister: Marilyn Hamm of Hot Springs, AR

  • Six grandchildren

  • Two great grandchildren
Donations suggested to Kosair's Children Hospital or for Gideon Bibles. These can be made at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
