He was a member of a prominent highly regarded Adair County, KY, family, the son of the late Carl & Altha Pyles Burton. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a farmer. He is survived by his wife, Theril Wheeler Burton. He leaves four direct living descendants.

Keith "Kevin" Burton, 79, of Columbia, KY, died Friday, July 5, 2013 at 2:40 P.M. at his residence.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 8, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. David Coffey officiating. Burial in Bearwallow Cemetery, 6090 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT/5pmET, Sunday, July 7, 2013, at the funeral home.

He was born Tuesday, December 17, 1933, in Adair County KY. He was the son of the late Carl & Altha Pyles Burton. He died Friday, July 5, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 19 days.

He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Joann Burton Survivors include is wife, Theril Wheeler Burton of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • His daughter & son-in-law: Bridgett & Larry Johnson of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren" Alesha (Josh) Dicken & Wesley Compton

  • One great-grandchild: Avannah Dicken

  • Four brothers: Clifton Wayne (Alice) Burton, Rabon “Toon” (Ethel) Burton, Winfrey “Mick” (Nancy) Burton all of Columbia, KY; and Ralph (Peggy) Burton of Liberty, KY

  • Two sisters: Gail (Randy) Camfield of Columbia, KY; and Frankie (Marvin) Hatch of Mt. Washington, KY

  • Several other relatives and friends
