Campbellsville, KY man arrested for leaving scene of accident

Case grows out of fatal bicycle/motor vehicle collision June 6, 2013

The New Johnsonville Police Department has announced that they have finished their investigation on the hit and run that resulted in the death of a New Johnsonville man on the 6th day of June, 2013. Following an exhausting two and half week investigation, Steven B. Edrington of Campbellsville, KY was arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of an accident, involving a death, a Class E Felony.



Mr. Edrington was traveling west on Hwy 70 where he struck and killed a bicyclist going the same direction. The victim was later identified by the Medical Examiners office in Nashville as Walter J. Herbison of New Johnsonville. Mr. Edrington was also charged with Failing to yield to a bicyclist on the road, a Class A Misd. He is out of jail on a $25,000 bond where he will appear in the New Johnsonville General Sessions Court in July for his arraignment.
