Laura Farmer, 88, Casey Co., KY native (1924-2013)

She was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of Ohio at the time of her death. She leaves 18 direct and two step living descendants

Laura Farmer, age 88, of West Union, OH passed away on Saturday June 22, 2013, at Adams Co. Manor. Graveside services will be held 11pmCT/12pm noon ET, Tuesday June 25, 2013 at Glenwood Cemetery, with Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery.



Laura Farmer, 88, Casey Co., KY native (1924-2013)


She was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY on Monday, July 14, 1924. She was the daughter of the the late Claude and Katie Brown Atwood. She died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the age of 88 years, 11 months, and 9 days.

She was the widow of Arthur Farmer. Survivors include:
  • Two sons: William Farmer of Riverview, FL and Robert Farmer of Cincinnati, OH

  • Two daughters: Rita Lucas of Lynx, OH and Shelia Brewer of West Union, OH

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Seven great grandchildren

  • Two step grandchildren

  • And two sisters: Ruth Gregory of Cincinnati, OH, and Claudie Harris of Georgia
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Merl and Jack Atwood; and one sister, Verna Dehner.
