Bobby Jones, 74, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 2:15amET, Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Greenburg, KY

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Billy Adams and Bro. Randall Underwood. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Paul Gabehart, Shane Gentry, Wendell Gilbert, Joey Jones, Larry Strange, and Ronnie Wilcoxson.

Bobby Jones of Campbellsville, KY, was the son of the late Roy Lee Jones and Ida Fay Osborne Jones. He was born in Pemberton, Raleigh County, WV, Friday, May 5, 1939. He died Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Greenburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 74 years, 1 months, and 8 days.

He professed faith in Christ and attended God's Grace Church.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was a retired employee of Jones Brothers Aluminum.

He united in marriage to Geneva Gabehart October 18, 1958.

Besides his wife, Geneva Gabehart Jones, he is survived by the following:
  • One son: Carl David Jones of Louisville, KY

  • Two brothers and one sister: Timmy Jones and wife, Kellie Margaret LaPradd of Campbellsville, KY; and Charles Wayne Jones and wife, Cheryl of Ohio

  • One step-brother, Terry Parson of Jacksonville, FL

  • Three sisters-in-law: Rosaline Jones, Audrey Jones and Jewell Dean Jones

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by five brothers and one sister: Lester R. Jones, Johnny J. Jones, Lloyd Jones, Billy Ray Jones, Jackie Jones and Juanita Lee and his step-mother, Ada Jones.
