(Ad) At the Farmers Market, 409 Fairground St. this morning

The Farmer's Market at the Adair Extension Office, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY is open this Friday morning, June 14, 2012, from 6am-10amCT. This morning, there are two vendors: Margie Rooks and Ken Mooney.

If you've been wanting the great taste of Fried Green Tomatoes - or needing to put up a few jars of green tomato relish, better hurry to beat the crowds and the heat. There's also a good selection of Yellow Squash - that most versatile of vegetable, with it's wonderful color and nutty flavor. Those are just a few of the items Margie and Ken reported this morning at 6:08amCT. Here's some more:
  • Margie Rooks, Sano KY: Several heads of Cabbage. Green Onions. Rhubarb. New Red Potatoes. Cucumbers. Zucchini. Yellow Squash.
  • Ken Mooney. 502-578-1246 Cabbage. Green Tomatoes. Picklng Cucumbers. Crook Neck Squash. Zucchini. White Potatoes.
The Adair County Farmers Market proudly accepts Senior and WIC vouchers. For more information, contact the Adair County Extension Service at 270-384-2317. - Nick Roy, Adair County Extension Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources
