Greg Thomas: Basement of Adair Annex open as storm shelter

Greg Thomas, Adair County Emergency Management Director, has just announced that the basement of the Adair County Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY is open for as a storm shelter tonight, Monday, June 10, 2013. Adair County is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10pmCT, he said, and urged citizens to be aware that tornado warnings under such conditions may be issued at any time. Thomas recommended that citizens stay tuned to the media for timely updates.

He said that funnel cloud formations had been spotted, and there are reports of large hail, reports of storm damage, if any, had not yet been received at Adair 911 Center, at the time of the call, 5:15pmCT.
