Joyce C. Sells age 62 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Tuesday, June 04, 2013 at Cumberland County Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2pmCT/3pmET, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Rose of Sharon Cemetery. The family requests visitation 5pm-9pmCT/6pm-10pmET, Thursday, June 06, 2013 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home.

Joyce was born on March 13, 1951 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late John Claywell and Clara Anderson Claywell. She died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 62 years, 2 months, and 22 days.

She was a member of Burkesville Baptist Church, a lab technician for B.F. Taylor Medical Arts Building and Dr. Samuel Rice, treasurer of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and secretary for WE CARE.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Claywell, and two sisters, Robbie Claywell and Peggy Claywell. Survivors Include:
  • Her husband: Johnnie O. Sells of Burkesville, KY

  • One daughter: Jetona Gore and her husband Jeremy of Cookeville, TN

  • One sister: Geraldine Riddle of Burkesville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Collin Gore, and Lilly Gore both of Cookeville, TN

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to WE CARE, Burkesville Baptist Church Building Fund, or Rose of Sharon Cemetery Fund and may be left at the funeral home.

Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY in charge of arrangements.
