Single vehicle crash on KY 206 takes out power for an hour

Vehicle strikes utility pole, which had to be replaced

By Adair County Deputy Sheriff Adam Cravens

The Adair Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle collision on KY 206/Liberty Road, Sunday afternoon. Sarah Greiner, 19, of Russell Springs, KY had just turned off of Dunnville Road and was headed towards Columbia, KY when she lost control of her vehicle, dropping down to the shoulder.

Greiner appears to have over-corrected, going back onto the roadway briefly before again leaving the road and colliding with a utility pole.

Greiner was taken to Russell County Hospital by Adair EMS to be treated for possible injuries.

Adair County Constable Jason Rector and Adair Search and Rescue also responded to the scene to assist in traffic control while Taylor RECC replaced the pole.

Area residents were without power for over an hour while the pole was replaced. --Deputy Adam Cravens
