Adult Education Center offers free college prep classes

By LeAnna Bennett

The Adair County Adult Education Center, 108 Lindsey Wilson Street, is offering free college prep classes for any individual who is entering college this Fall. This class will last as few as 2 weeks, and will give students the opportunity to prepare themselves to meet the expectations of college professors. Students will also acquire the skills needed to excel in upcoming classes, including skills needed for Blackboard and other online programs. For those students who did not benchmark on the ACT, this is an opportunity to refresh your skills and potentially test out of basic/developmental classes, which will save you time and money in college. The class begins on June 3, 2013. If you would like to register for this class, or for more information, please contact the center at 270-384-7475 or 270-384-1741 by Thursday, May 30, 2013. - LeAnna Bennett
