Mrs. Catherine Josephine Ratto Distefano, 77, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at her home in Greensburg, KY.

There will be graveside services for Mrs. Catherine Josephine Ratto Distefano held at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Greensburg Cemetery. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, in charge of the funeral arrangements. Visitation is requested from 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. No Visitation on Thursday.


Catherine Josephine Distefano, Green Co., KY (1935-2013)


She was the daughter of the late Vincent Ratto and Felicia Lombardi Ratto. She was born on May 28, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York, and departed this life on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at her home in Greensburg, Green County, KY. She was 77 years, 11 months, and 28 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Catholic Faith. She was former Co-owner of C&F Custom Quilting in Greensburg, KY.

She united in marriage to Francis Peter "Frank" Distefano on June 9, 1957 who preceded her in death on January 25, 2007.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons and two daughters: Cathy Wright and her husband Terry of Lebanon, KY; Peter Distefano of Edmonton, KY; Francis Junior Distefano of Bardstown, KY; and Mielle Distefano of Greensburg, KY

  • A grandson: Tyler Wright of Bowling Green, KY

  • A sister: Gertrude Schnier of Florida

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
