Name of officer killed in Bardstown released UPDATE related to: Bardstown, KY Police Officer shot and killed early this morning By MTPR Norman Chaffins, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 4, Elizabethtown, KY The name of the Bardstown officer killed today has been released. K-9 Officer Jason Ellis, 33, of Bloomfield, KY was a 7-year veteran with the Bardstown Police Department. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
