Houk, 72, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at his home. The funeral services for Mr. Maxie G. Houk will be conducted at 10amCT/11amET, Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Pierce Community Cemetery. Bro. Mark Lile, and Jeff Houk will be officiating. Visitation is requested 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, Sunday, May 12, 2013 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT/8amET, Monday until time of the funeral service. Pallbearers: Jeff Houk Brian Penick Jeffrey Houk, Kyle Houk, Cody Houk, and Dylan Penick. He was born on Saturday, August 26, 1939 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at his home. He was 73 years, 8 months, and 13 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Community Baptist Church, and was a lifelong farmer.
