He was a Veteran of th US Army and a member of the Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church. He was a member of a highly regarded Russell County, KY family, the son of hte late Otha and Cynthia Fox Zimmerman. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Zimmerman. He leaves one direct living descendant.

Otha Zimmerman, Jr., 67, of Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services for Otha Zimmerman, Jr. will be 2pmCT/3pmET, Sunday, May 12, 2013, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Troy Grider officiating. Friends may call after 5pmCT, Saturday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Square Oak Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Tony Kerr, Bradley Heishman, Scott Conner, Ricky Johnson, Tony Zimmerman, and Sovel Stephens.

He was born Sunday, May 20, 1945 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Otha and Cynthia Fox Zimmerman. He died Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 67 years, 11 months, and 20 days.

He was a Veteran of th US Army and a member of the Bethlehem Separate Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Joyce Zimmerman, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Stephanie Zimmerman

  • Three sisters: Maxine Stephens, Mary Johnson, Jane DeHart, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Green, Kathleen Stephens and three brothers, Rouzee , Willard, and Hubert Zimmerman.
