Maxwell A. Roy, 88, of Springhill, FL, formerly of Russell County, KY, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Oak Hill Hospital in Springhill, FL.

Graveside services for Maxwell A. Roy will be at 10amCT/11amET, Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Union Cemetery, Russell County, KY, with Bro. Lester Caldwell officiating. Burial in the Union Cemetery.

He was born Friday, June 26, 1924 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Luther Herbert and Rosa McBeath Roy. He died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, in Springhill, Hernando County, FL, at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 4 days.

He was a machinist and a veteran of the US Army.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Jonathan Roy, FL

  • Two nephews: Freddie (Sue) Roy and Barry Roy, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • One niece: Lydia Meece, Russell Springs, KY
