James G. Wyland, Adair Co., KY, Kansas native (1944-2013)

He was a resident of Knifley, KY, at the time of his death. He was a native of Crawford County, KS, and was retired after a career in Walkerton, IN. Visitation in Kentucky will be in Campbellsville; the funeral will take place in Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Wyland and leaves 18 direct living descendants

Mr. James G. Wyland, age 69, died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his residence in Knifley, Adair County, KY.

Visitation service will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013 from 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET, in chapel of Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY. Friends may call at Rannells Funeral Home, oontz Lake Chapel, 7984 N State Road 23, Walkerton, IN, 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET. Graveside services will be conducted for Mr. James Wyland, at 10am noon CT/11amET, Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend, IN.



James G. Wyland, Adair Co., KY, Indiana nativie (1944-2013)


He was born January 8, 1944, in Crawford County, Kansas. He was the son of Ted and Viola (Ellis) Wyland. He died Sunday, April 21, 2013, in Knifley, Adair County, KY, at the age of 69 years, 3 months, and 13 days.

Mr. Wyland was retired from Masonite Corporation in Walkerton, IN.

He is survived by his wife Kathy (Kring) Wyland whom he married January 19, 1985, in Walkerton, IN, and the following:
  • His children and spouses; James Russell and Crystal Wyland of Campbellsville, Ky; John and Casi Felix of Indiana; T.J. Ernsberger of North Liberty, IN; Bobbi Lynn and Clinton Thompson of Springfield, KY; and Sarah and Scott Collins of South Bend, IN

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • One brother and sister in law; Olin Wylan and Tammy Mulberry

  • Three sisters and brother in law: Bessie and Ernie Chassaurd, Donna and Nick Dewey and Etta and Terry Smith all of Kansas

  • A host of family and friends
