Preacher James Sullivan, 93, of Russell Springs, died Monday, April 8, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services for Bro. James Sullivan will be 7pmCT/8pmET, Thursday, April 11, 2013, at the Bernard Church of God with Rev, Lindsey Cornett officiating. Friends may call after 5pmCT/6pmET, Thursday at the church. Burial in the Phildelphia Cemetery on Friday, April 12, 2013.



Preacher James Sullivan, 93, Russell Co., KY (1920-2013)

He was born Thursday, January 22, 1920 in Drakesboro, Muhlenberg County, KY. He was the son of the late John L. and Bertha Mae Mullins Sullivan. He died Monday, April 8, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 93 years, 2 months, and 17 days.

He was retired from General Motors and was a member of Bernard Church of God.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Elizabeth Daniel, and Joy V. Meade

Survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters: Rosemary Tresslar, Becky R. Heeter both of Kettering, Ohio

  • One step daughter: Nelda Scott, Knoxville, TN

  • Six grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren

  • One sister: Katherine Johnson, Chicago, IL

  • Two brothers: Wallace Sullivan, Bremen, Ky, Jack Sullivan, TN
