Wanda Jean Cowan, 73, G. Cowan Road, Jamestown, KY, died Friday, April 5, 2013, at 8:20pmCT, at her home.

The funeral will be at Wednesday, April 10, 1pmCT/2pmET, at the H.E. Pruitt Funeral Home, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Leon Simpson officiating. Burial will be in the Jamestown Cemetery, N Main Street, Jamestown, KY. Visitation will be after Tuesday, April 9, 2013, after 5pmCT/6pmET, at the funeral home.



Wanda Jean Cowan, Russell Co., Ky (1940-2013)

She was born January 31, 1940, in St. Charles, Lee County, VA. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Haynes and the late Alley Marie Herron Haynes. She died in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 73 years, 2 months, and 5 days.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Glen J (Rhonda) Cowan, Jr., Jamestown, KY

  • Two daughters: Doris (Larry) Benson, Punta Gorda, FL; and Wnda (Craig) Adkins, Laverkin, UT

  • Sisters: Susie Childs, Carrollton, KY; and JoNell Randall, Noblesville, IN

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Eight great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by one brother, Buddy Haynes; one granddaughter, and one great granddaughter.

The H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N. Main Street, Jamestown, KY, in charge of arrangements.
