Stacy Carter, age 49 years of Columbia, KY passed away suddenly Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 7:38pmCT, at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room from injuries received earlier in an automobile accident 7 miles east of Columbia, KY on KY 206.

Funeral services, Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11amCT/12pmET, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Todd Akin the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. The family request visitation after 4pmCT/5pmET, on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

She was born Saturday, August 10, 1963 in Yuma, Yuma County, AZ. She was the the daughter of Tena Wilson Hoey of Nancy, KY and the daughter of Virl Chapin, Sr. She died Thursday, April 4, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 49 years, 7 months, and 25 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Waylon Coe of Lexington, KY and William Carter II of Columbia, KY

  • Three daughters: Latisia Hefflin of Palatine, IL; Maranda Carter of Columbia, KY; and Carrissa Carter of Columbia, KY

  • Two half sisters: Crystal Hoey of Cheyenne, WY; and Cynthia Cavezza of Eugene, OR

  • Three grandsons and one niece

  • Her fiance': Ronnie Burton of Columbia, KY
She was preceded in death by her brother: Virl Clayton Chapin Jr. in 1996.
