Fly Me to the Moon Jazz Concert Fundraiser at C/AC Airport For Hillary Hadley Memorial Scholarship By Inette Goodin Fly Me to the Moon is an evening of jazz presented by the Hillary Hadley Memorial Scholarship committee on April 12, 2013 at 6:30 PM at the Columbia/Adair County Airport, 735 Country Club Road, Columbia, KY. Performing will be the Adair County High School Jazz Band under the direction of Jonathon Holmes and the Lindsey Wilson College Jazz Band with clarinetist Bianca Whitlow Vets under the direction of Tim Allen. Joining the bands will be Larry Nelson, Assistant Professor of Saxophone/Jazz Studies at Eastern Kentucky University, who was Hillary's instructor in a jazz class she took while attending EKU. Proceeds will benefit the Hillary Hadley Memorial Scholarship. Contact MellaDee Allen at 270-384-3445 or Inette Goodin at 270-384-4998. Also, Paige Hutchison will be singing a couple of songs. A silent auction will be held featuring cherry bed steps handcrafted by Maxie Hadley, a stained glass replica of the flag Hillary performed with at the 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade surrounded by a dark cherry frame made by MellaDee Allen, and a deco mesh wreath made by Kristin Goodin.
