She was a member of a large, respected South Adair County, KY, family and was a a friendly, neighborly citizen. She was the daughter of the late F.O. and Susie Blair McClister. She leaves many direct living descendants.

Sue Conover, age 77 years of Columbia, KY passed away, Monday, March 25, 2013 at 12:45pmCT, at her home after several months illness.

Funeral services will be at 2pmCT/3pmET, Friday, March 29, 2013 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT/5pmET, Thursday, March 28, 2013. Interment will be in the McClister Cemetery, 4138 Fairplay Road, Columbia, KY in the Fairplay community of Adair County.


Sue McClister Conover, Adair Co., KY (1935-2013)

She was born Monday, June 24, 1935. She was the daughter of the late F.O.and Susie Blair McClister. She died Monday, March 25, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 77 years, 9 months, and six days.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by three brothers: Eldridge McClister, Dorval McClister and Richard Norris McClister; and two sisters Nelvia Herron and Thelver Carston.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Bruce Conover and wife Denise of Brandenburg, KY

  • One daughter: Rhonda Hatcher and husband Brad of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Lois Erlinder of Palos Park, IL

  • Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends

  • Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, in charge of arrangements. Phone 270-384-2145.
