CAUD meeting today - step to restart stalled water project

The CAUD (Columbia/Adair Utilities District) Board of Commissioners will meet at the utilities conference room at 109 Grant Lane, Columbia, KY, on Friday, March 21, 2013, at 4pmCT to establish a non-negotiable settlement figure to present to the bonding company for Southern Backhoe. Southern Backhoe had the contract for the Downtown Project, but abandoned the project in November 2012 after the work was approximately 60% complete. Board member Barry Stotts, whose family owns Stotts Construction Company, now in negotiations to complete the work, is abstaining from taking any actions as a member of the board while it is making its decision.
