Speaking Through Silence gears up for April Autism month Speaking Through Silence, a charity founded in Columbia, KY, is gearing up for Autism Awareness Month to fund Project Lifesaver in the local community By Greg Blair On April 27, 2013, at 8amCT, Speaking Through Silence will be hosting a 5k and 1 mile fun walk beginning at the Holloway Health and Wellness on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College, 210 Lindsey Wilson St. Columbia, KY 42728. (Fees apply with net proceeds going to Project Lifesaver in our local community. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place overall of 5K Run/Walk, Food and water will be provided for runners, Door Prizes The primary mission of Project Lifesaver is to provide timely response to save lives and reduce potential injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer's, autism, and other related conditions or disorders. Speaking Through Silence is a nonprofit organization that was formed in the summer of 2011 in Columbia, KY by a group of friends who came together for one common goal; to raise awareness for autism in the community. Speaking Through Silence's ultimate goal is to increase awareness for autism, not only in the region, but the nation, and the world.
