Barbara Jones, 48, of Steve Wariner Dr., Russell Springs, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY. Funeral service for Barbara Jones will be 3pmCT/4pmET, Wednesday , March 20, 2013 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Jason Hood officiating. Friends may call after 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday, at the funeral home.


Barbara Jones, 48, Russell Co., KY (1964-2013)

She was born Thursday, September 24, 1964 in Kane County, IL. She was the daughter of the late John and Judith Annabelle (Leake) Jones. She died Monday, March 18, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 48 years, 5 months, and 24 days.

She was a caregiver for the elderly.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Renna Jones.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two sons: Brandon (Jennifer) Jones, Matthew (Erica) Jones, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Zackary Jones, Matthew Jones, Landon Jones, Lydia Miller

  • Eight sisters: Sarah Jones, Virginia Tucker, Donna Kerns, Judy Bell, all of Russell Springs, KY, and Beverly Murphy, Bridget Jones, both of Columbia, KY; and Doris Maurer and Linda Maurer, both of Illinois

  • Three brothers: Patrick Jones, Russell Springs, KY; Gary Jones, Indiana; and Richard Jones, Greensburg, KY
