ACFD responds to three fires Sat.-Sun., Mar. 9-10, 2013 Adair County Sheriffs investigating pickup fire which occurred on Mt. Carmel Boat Ramp Road. Two half acre grass fires extinguished; one caused by blown transformer By Donald Hare, Public Affairs Officer Adair County Fire Department Vehicle totally destroyed by fire on Mt. Carmel Boat Ramp Road Saturday night, March 9, 2013 at 8:46pmCT the Adair County Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire on Mt. Carmel Boat Ramp road. Upon arrival there was a vehicle total engulfed in flames, The Ford F-150 with an unknown owner was completely destroyed, There were 7 Firemen on the scene for about an hour. The origin is under investigation by the Adair County Sheriff's Office. Grass fire on Royal Circle Road burns half acre of grass Sunday morning, March 10, 2013 at 9:36amCT, to 22 Royal Circle Road to property owned by Mary Curry, to a grass fire with about one-half acre of ground burned. Eight firemen were on the scene for 30 minutes. Grass fire Sunday afternoon caused by blown transformer Sunday afternoon at 3pmCT, the ACFD responded to the intersection of Heartland Circle and Green Hills Road to a grass fire, There was about one-half acre of ground burned on a vacant lot, The cause was from a blown transformer.
