The Adair County Fire Department responds to 2 fires Adair County firefighters remind everyone to change fire alarm batteries when changing clocks to daylight savings time By Donald Hare, Public Information Officer Adair County Fire Department Mobile home on C. Kerr Road completely destroyed by fire The first was a mobile home fire at 3: 47pmCT, Thursday, March 7, 2013, at 288 C. Kerr Road, to property owned by Earl Bennett and occupied by Rose Furman. The mobile home was completely destroyed by fire. There were 19 firemen on the scene for around 1.5 hours. Shop building near Gradyville suffers major fire damage The second fire was Friday 11:15amCT, at 2364 Corbins Richards Road near the Village of Gradyville was a 40 x 40 shop building owned by Richie and Sandy Janes. Part of the building was a total loss. There were 10 firemen on the scene for about 1.5 hours.
