Leo Abe Stilts, 65, of Sonora, KY, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at his residence.

Funeral services are Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 3pmCT/4pm ET at Sonora United Methodist Church, 408 N. Main Street, Sonora, KY, with Rev. Kevin Stamps and Rev. Eudell Stilts officiating. Burial will be in Sonora Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2013, 2pm-7pmCT/3pm-8pmET, or Sunday from 8am-3pmCT/9am-4pmET at Manakee Funeral Home, 29 W Western Avenue, Sonora, KY.


He was preceded in death by an infant son. Survivors include the following:
  • His wife: Lena Haynes Stilts of Sonora, KY

  • One son: Christopher (Lori Melton) Stilts of Upton, KY

  • Six sisters: Nancy Beard of Campbellsville, Lelia Smith and Betty Calhoun both of Columbia, Mary Curtsinger, Annie Curry, and Ruby Stilts all of Greensburg, KY

  • Five brothers: Rev. Eudell Stilts and J.W. Stilts both of Greensburg, Norman Stilts of Magnolia, Mark 'Buddy" Stilts and Ray Stilts both of Columbia, KY

  • Three step grandchildren
