Janice Faye Shanklin passed away Tuesday March 5, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was 52.

Graveside funeral services are 12pm noon CT/1pmCT, Saturday March 9, 2013 at Whited Cemetery, Casey County with Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating followed with burial. Visitation is 10am-11:30amCT/ 11am-12:30pmET, Saturday, March 9, 2013, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.


Janice Faye Shanklin, Casey County, KY (1960-2013)

Born May 19, 1960, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of Kathy Atwood Shanklin of Liberty, KY and the late James F. Shanklin. She died Saturday, March 5, 2013, in Indianapolis, Marion County, KY at the age of 52 years, 9 months, and 17 days.

She was a homemaker.

Other survivors include her husband, John Edwards, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN, and the following:
  • Son: John Edwards, III of Indianapolis, IN

  • Daughters: Amanda Edwards of Indianapolis, IN; Porsha Edwards of Columbus, OH; and Carrie Hopkins of Ft. Benning, GA

  • Several grandchildren; brothers, Jimmie Shanklin of Dalton, GA; and Scott Shanklin of Liberty, KY; and sisters, Linda Elliott and Bobbie Ray Windom both of Dalton, GA
  • In addition to her fathers, she is preceded in death by an infant son and daughter.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the funeral home to help offset expenses.
