Lou Wells, 82, of Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be at 2pmCT/3pmET, Friday, March 1, 2013, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY. Burial will be in the Russell Springs Cemetery, Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be 10am-2pmCT/11am-3pmET, at the funeral home.

Lou Pierce Wells, Russell County, KY (1930-2013)

She was born April 13, 1930 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Alva Ray and Vertie Mae Russell Pierce. She died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 82 years, 10 months, and 13 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Sewellton Church of God of Prophecy.

Preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Wells.

Survivors include the following:
  • One brother: Kenneth Pierce, Jamestown, KY

  • Six sisters: Lillian Burchett, Wanda Flatt, Alva Hadley, all of Jamestown, KY; Helen Marcum and Geneva Pierce, both of Albany, KY Evelyn Cape, Russell Springs, KY

  • Five nieces and nephews
