Clyde Goodin, Sr, 92, Casey County, KY (1920-2013)

He was retired from Dowell's Furniture Store and the KentuckianTheater in Liberty, KY. He was a lifelong citizen of Liberty, KY where he reared his five children. He is survived by his beloved wife, Docey Roy Goodin. He leaves 37 direct and three step living descendants.

Clyde Goodin, Sr. of Liberty, KY passed away peacefully on Thursday February 7, 2013. He was 92 years old.

Funeral services are 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Sunday February 10, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the funeral home Sunday from 7pmCT/8pmET, until service.



Pallbearers: Barry Rousey, Derrick Pendleton, Jason Hatfield, Kevin King, Logan Lloyd and Peggy Hatfield.

Clyde Goodin, Sr, 92, Casey County, KY (1920-2013)

Born Wednesday, May 29, 1920 in Casey County, he was the son of the late Della Goodin. He died Thursday, February 7, 2013, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 92 years, 8 months, and 30 days.

He was retired from Dowell's Furniture Store and the Kentuckian Theater. He was a lifelong citizen of Liberty, KY where he reared his five children.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Docey Roy Goodin of Liberty, KY, and the following:
  • Son: Darrell Goodin of Liberty, KY

  • Three daughters: Virgina (and Raymond) Anderson of Lineville, AL; Dixie Pendleton of Dunnville, KY; and Gail Goodin of Lexington, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Ricky (and Cathy) Anderson of Carroll, Georgia, Anette (and Junior) Harmon all of Douglasville, GA; Randy Andersonand Mark Anderson of Lineville, AL; Tammy Phillips of Grave Switch, KY; Cherry Kilgallin of Russell Springs, KY; and Peggy (and Jason) Hatfield of Sano, KY

  • Seventeen great grandchildren

  • Nine great great grandchildren

  • And three step grandchildren
Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister Loren Goodin Rigney; son, Clyde Goodin, Jr.; one granddaughter , Tina Goodin; and great granddaughter, Dosha Passmore.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.
