LWC Basketball splits games at Cumberlands Thursday Men win; women lose at University of the Cumberlands By Dan White News from Lindsey Wilson College WILLIAMSBURG, KY - On Thursday night, February 7, 2013, in Williamsburg, KY, it was the third-ranked Lindsey Wilson men getting a 78-70 win, while the women lost 73-61 at the University of the Cumberlands (KY). The Blue Raider men shot an astounding 67.3 percent from the field and got 25 points for Columbia native Kalen Kimberland to stay in first place in the Mid-South Conference standings. On the women's side, it was Ashley Rainey leading the way with 23 points and 14 rebounds, but her performance alone wasn't enough as Cumberlands used four players in double figures to get the win at home. With the win, Lindsey Wilson's men are 22-1 overall and 12-2 in MSC play, while the women drop to 15-9 overall and 6-8 in league play. - Dan White This story was posted on 2013-02-08 02:58:31
