Margaret Ann Cooley York, Adair County, KY, (1921-2013)

She was a native Adair Countian. She was a member of a highly regarded family. She was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Minnie Ann Wetherford Cooley and the widow of Howard Douglas York. She leaves one direct living descendant. Mrs. York was a member of the Columbia Christian Church, a former secretary and a member of the Homemakers Club
Margaret Ann Cooley York, 91 years of Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 11:15pmCT, at the Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY.

Funeral services will be at 11amCT/12pm noon ET, on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Columbia Christian Church, 206 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Bro. Terry White will officiate. Interment will be in the Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 3:30pmCT/4:30pmET, on Monday, February 4, 2013, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, and after 10amCT/11amET, on Tuesday at the Columbia Christian Church.



Margaret Ann Cooley York, Adair County, KY, (1921-2013)

She was born Sunday, February 20, 1921 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Minnie Ann Wetherford Cooley. She died Wednesday, January 30, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 91 years, 11 months, and 10 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Douglas York in 1988 and by these siblings: Richard Cooley, Mae Wooten, Estelle Carrier, Robert Cooley and James Cooley.

Survived by the following:
  • One daughter: Yvonne Davis and husband Warren of Henderson, Nevada

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And a host of friends survive
Mrs. York was a member of the Columbia Christian Church, a former secretary and a member of the Homemakers Club.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY in charge of arrangements.
