LWC Women's Soccer Unveils National Championship Banner

COLUMBIA, KY- Lindsey Wilson College will pay tribute to the 2012 NAIA women's soccer national champions on Thursday night, January 31, 2013, during the Mid-South Conference basketball doubleheader with the women's game at 6pmCT, with the men's game following, with Rio Grande (Rio Grande, OH) at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY.

Recognition of the members of the women's soccer team will precede the unveiling of the 2012 national championship banner during halftime of the men's basketball game.



The unveiling is the third for the women's soccer program who also claimed the 2004 and 2006 NAIA national titles.

The Blue Raiders defeated Olivet Nazarene (Borbonnais, IL) 3-2 in the championship match on December 1, 2012 in Orange Beach, AL. Lindsey Wilson finished the season with a 20-4-1 record.

The team title is the 16th in the athletic department's history.
