Eric Warren Butler age 39 years of Columbia passed away suddenly Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 12:42pmCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room in Columbia, KY.

Funeral service Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1pmCT/2pmET at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Rev. Hugh Withers, Bro. Jim Hagan and a Chaplain with Breeding Fire Department officiating. Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 4pmCT, Wednesday, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers: Terry Harvey, Jonathon Beams, Tracy McCarol, Ed Wigal, Tony Harvey and Patrick Loy.

He was born Saturday, May 26, 1973 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY He was the son of David Louis Butler and the late Janice Sexton Butler of Columbia, KY. He died Sunday, January 27, 2013, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 39 years, 8 months, and 1 day.

Besides his father, he is survived by his wife Angela Hunt Butler of Columbia, KY and the following:
  • One son: Kyle Butler of Columbia, KY

  • One sister Kelly (Joey) Caldwell of Columbia, KY

  • Nephew: Tanner Caldwell

  • Niece: Kyndal Caldwell

  • Uncles: Ronnie Sexton of Louisville, KY; and Joe Todd Butler of Edinburgh, IN

  • Father in law and mother-in-law: Terry and Paula Hunt of Campbellsville, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
He was a member of Charity Baptist Church, a Correction Officer at the Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange, KY and a member of the Breeding Fire Department

In lieu of flowers family request expression of sympathy to take the form of a donation to the Breeding Fire Department in which can be made at the funeral home.
