Donald W. (Donnie) Piercy, Adair Co., KY (1944-2013)

He was a member of a large, respected South Adair County, KY family. He served his country in the United States Air Force, was a retired Military Policeman and a certified mechanic

Donald W. "Donnie" Piercy, 68, of Columbia, died Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 1:33amCT, at Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2pmCT/3pmET, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Michael Helm officiating. Burial with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097 in Helm Cemetery, 62 Helm Cemetery Road, Columbia, KY in the Cundiff community. Visitation will be after 10amCT/11amET, Sunday.



Casket Bearers: Lacy Grant, Michael Wright, Jason Wright, Marty Helm, Gary Cape and Davy Burchett.

Donald W. "Donnie" Piercy, Adair County, KY (1944-2013)

He was born Monday, June 26, 1944, in Princeton, Gibson County, IN. He died Thursday, January 24, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 68 years, 6 months, and 28 days.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Helm and his grandparents, Ed and Alice Helm. He served his country in the United States Air Force, was a retired Military Policeman and a certified mechanic.

Survivors Include:
  • One brother: Leon Piercy of Princeton, IN

  • One sister: Rena (Butch) Corn of Oakland City, IN

  • Two nephews: Jeff Corn of Colorado and Darren Corn of Oakland City, IN

  • Several other relatives and friends
