Ann E. Kingsolver to speak at Slider next Tuesday January 29

Ann E. Kingsolver will speak at Lindsey Wilson College's Slider Humanities Center Recital Hall, 155 Blue Raider Drive, Columbia, KY, at 7pmCT/8pmET, Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Her topic will be Tobacco Towns Futures: Global Encounters in Rural Kentucky Kingsolver, Director of the Appalachian Center and Appalachian Studies Program at UK, will discuss her documentation of 20 years of conversations in Nicholas County, KY, about the future of community livelihoods and identity as residents faced major changes in the textile and tobacco industries.

The bookstore will have copies of her book for purchase, "Tobacco Town Futures: Global Encounters in Rural Kentucky." - PHIL HANNA
