Billy Bruce Stephens, 61, of Russell Springs, died Sunday, January 20, 2013, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services for Billy Bruce Stephens will be 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with burial in the Bernard Cemetery. Friends may call after 5pmCT/6pmET, Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the Bernard Funeral Home. The officiating clergy will be Bro. Scott Proctor and Bro. Bobby Conner. Special music will be by Diane Hughes, Bobby Dunbar, and Lori Stephens.



Honorary Pallbearers: Rusty Hill, Butch Bernard, H.B. Brown, Randy Thomas, Martin Wesley, Gary McQueary, and Jackie Aaron.

Active Pallbearers: Ronald Brumley, Joshua Aaron, Billy Bunch, Danny Stephens, Jason Brown, and Travis Brown.

He was born Saturday, October 20, 1951 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Alvin Ray and Retha Stephens. He died Sunday, January 20, 2013, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 61 years, 3 months.

He was a farmer and attended the Bernard Church of God.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; Anna Lois Stephens, Irene Youngblood; and three brothers; Getha Stephens, Bobby Stephens, and Ralph Stephens.

Survivors include his wife, Shelia Faye Wilson Stephens, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • A daughter: Kim (Michael) Clark, Russell Springs, KY

  • A granddaughter: Molly Grace Clark, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Gladys Simpson, Sharon Coffey, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Six brothers: Curtis Stephens, Verlon Stephens, both of Anderson, IN; Elbert Stephens, Hollis C. Stephens, both of Russell Springs, KY; and Collis Stephens. Jimmy Stephens, both of Jamestown, KY
