Walter (Tickie) Coomer, Russell Co., KY (d. Jan. 16, 2013)

He was a U.S. Army veteran, the son of the late Willie and Grace Coomer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Gail Coomer. He leaves nine direct living descendants

Walter "Tickie" Coomer, of Paint Lick, KY, formerly of the Jabez community, a US Army veteran, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at his home.

Funeral service will be 11amCT/12pm noon ET, Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, wiith burial in the Stacy Cemetery in Jabez, KY, with Bro. Paul Patton officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Friday, January 18, 2013, and after 8amCT/9amET, Saturday at the Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs, Ky.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Grace Coomer; his wife, Anna Gail Coomer; four brothers, Leonard, Herbert, Clay, and Jerry Coomer; and three sisters, Kate, Brenda and Elizabeth Coomer. He is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Margaret (Mike) Williams, Berea, KY: Robin (Rick P) Neikirk, Marrowbone, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Michael Williams, Keri (Steve) Lainhart, Brandon (Rebecca) Williams, Richard Neikirk, and Rachel Neikirk

  • Two great grandchildren: Hunter and Bethany Williams

  • Three sisters: Pauline (C.O.) Hopper and Helen Walters, both of Somerset, KY; and Shirley Burton of Indiana

  • Two brothers, Paula (Zula) Coomer, Berea, KY and Tommy (Barbara) Coomer, Versailles, KY
Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
