Shoes for Belize are admission to Jan. 17, 2013 CU games Campbellsville University to host shoe drive at January 17, 2013 basketball games. Fans will receive free admission by donating a pair of shoes. By Chris Megginson, Sports Information Director, Campbellsville University Special to the Columbia Magazine.com CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - It's time to recycle those sneakers you've barely worn. Campbellsville University basketball and supporting sponsors are collecting new and gently used shoes Thursday, January 17, 2013, during the fifth annual Next Step Shoe Drive. The drive will take place during the Mid-South Conference doubleheader basketball games between Campbellsville and University of the Cumberlands at 6pmET and 8pmET, at Powell Sports Center, 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY. All donations will be delivered over the summer in Belize. In addition to the shoe drive, there will be a shooting contest during halftime of both games for fans to have a chance to win cash prizes. Up to $2,000 will be available for giveaways. Fans can win $25 for a made layup and continue to increase their prize money per difficulty of shot in a "Let's Make A Deal" format of a shooting contest. A half-court shot is worth $500.
