Ellen Loy, departed this life at her home, Saturday, January 12, 2013.

Funeral service for Ellen Loy will be 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with burial in the Loy Family Cemetery. Friends may call after 9amCT/10amET. Monday at the Bernard Funeral Home. Bro. Barry Lawson will be the officiating clergy.


Pallbearers: Chris Stapp, Matthew Loy, Charles Loy, Jordan Galliher, Elisha Loy, and Mark Thomas.

Ellen Loy, daughter of the late Aldon and Zula Mae (Lawhorn) Stapp, was born in Russell Springs, KY, on Thursday, January 30, 1941 and departed this life at her home, Saturday, January 12, 2013 making her 71 years, 11 months and 12 days of age.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Liberty Community Church.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Garvis & Ronald Stapp.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Billy Jack Loy, and the following:
  • Five children: Timothy (Tina) Loy, Butler Co., KY; Jeffrey (Donna) Loy, TN; Patrick (Kelly) Loy, Darren Loy, and Amy (Mark) Thomas, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Two step grandchildren

  • Two great grandchildren

  • Two step great grandchildren

  • Four brothers: Phillip (Patsy) Stapp, Preston (Cola) Stapp, Arvis (Linda) Stapp, Dennis (Linda) Stapp, all of Russell Springs, KY

  • One sister: Elaine (Roger) Collins, Russell Springs, KY
