Ed McQuaide: On respectful driving, Ralph McQueary legacy

Ed McQuaide writes:
Never underestimate the stupidity of the general public. It's hard to deal with a portion of the population that thinks the white lines under the traffic signals are the parking spot for their rear bumper.

Those of us who were fortunate to have had Mr.Ralph McQueary as our drivers ed teacher will be forever in his gratitude. Not only did we learn proper driving skills,he instilled the most important element, respect. For the past 20 + years, adolescents have been allowed to park and litter on public property anywhere they choose. As they leave the city limits it fills the ditches in all directions. It leaves little doubt why the HS is ranked 189/230. - Ed McQuaide
