ACHS Indians Basketball Teams at Nelson County



2013-01-16 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Amanda Taylor. ACHS Indians JV/V basketball team traveled to Nelson County, December 27, 2012, where the varsity team lost in action to the Kentucky Country Day team 61-47. On December 28, 2012, the varsity Indians defeated Whitley Co. 58-50, while the junior varsity Indians also defeated Whitley Co. 44-30. On December 29, 2012, the varsity Indians defeated Nelson Co. 64-52, while the junior varsity Indians also defeated Nelson Co. 44-40. These standings gave the Indians a 2nd place finish in the tournament, with Kentucky Country Day receiving 1st place. Players include: (not in order) Senior - Tanner Pooler; Juniors - Matt Fudge, Jayden Willis, Jake Hixson, Ty Bennett, Marshall Shelley, Kyle Burton; Sophomores - Zach Hutchison, Colton Back, Aaran Taylor, Trent Jones, Freshmen-Gabriel Alfaro, Jacob Pooler, Trevor Willis, 8th Graders - Chance Melton, Kel Stotts. Coaches, not pictured, are: Head Coach Mark Fudge, Assistants - Wes Irvin and Jimmy Wentworth. John Shelley also helped coach these varsity games, too. - Amanda Taylor
