Ernest Alexander, Casey Co. KY (1936-2013)

He was a native of Texas and the patriarch of a respected Casey County, KY family. He drove a concrete truck for 28 years and formerly attended the Church of the First Born

Ernest Alexander passed away Saturday January 5, 2013 at his home in Casey County, KY. He was 76.

Funeral services will be at 12pm noon CT/1pmET, Wednesday January 9, 2013 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Marvin Lane officiating. Burial is at Tapscott Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, January 9, 2013, from 10amCT/11amET, until funeral service.



Ernest Alexander, Casey Co. KY (1936-2013)

He was born Tuesday, July 7, 1936 in Bloomburg, Cass County, Texas. He was the son of the late Weber and Avis Alexander. He died Saturday, January 5, 2013, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 76 years, 6 months, and 29 days.

He drove a concrete truck for 28 years and formerly attended the Church of the First Born.

Ernest is the widower of Vernie Marie Propes Alexander, who passed away May 1, 2000.

Survivors include the following:
  • Sons: Danny Joe Alexander of Indianapolis, Indiana and Brent Propes of Junction City, KY

  • seven grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren

  • Brother: Welden Alexander of Texas

  • Sister: Evelyn Thompson of Bradley, Arkansas
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by three sons, William Dean Alexander , Frankie Lee Alexander and Kent Propes .

In lieu of flowers, donation may be given to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
