Nuggets of Information: Patterns from 2010 census figures

Nuggets of Information: Facts to sate the Perpetual Nine Year Olds of all ages

A look at the Wikipedia Entries for Adair, Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell, and Taylor Counties yielded these interesting population growth figures from the 2010 census for the first decade of the 21st Century:
  • Adair County, 8.2%
  • Russell County, 7.7%
  • Taylor County, 6.9%
  • Casey County, 3.3%
  • Metcalfe County, 0.6%
  • Green County, - 2.3%
  • Cumberland County, - 4.1%
Any comments on the factors which created these figures welcome, as are predictions on factors which will change the order when the 2020 Census is done. One factor could be how the new highway systems will affect the growth of Cumberland County, as it is discovered, and when the dramatic makeover Greensburg/Green County has undergone in recent years will start to pay big dividends.
