Grace Johnson, 86, Jabez, KY (1926-2012)

She was the matriarch of a respected Jabez community family. She is survived by her husband, Robert Johnson. She leaves 16 direct living descendants. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Home Church.

Grace Johnson, 86, of Jabez, KY, went home to be with her Lord, Friday, December 28, 2012 at her home.

Funeral service for Grace Johnson will be 10amCT/11amET, Wednesday, January 2, 2012, the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with burial in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens, 4790 W Highway 80, Somerset, KY. Friends may call after 4pmCT/5pmET, Tuesday, January 1, 2012, at the Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs.Bro. Murrell Crockett will be the officiating clergy.



Grace Johnson, 86, Jabez community (1926-2012)

She was born Saturday, July 17, 1926 in Champaigne, Champaigne County, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late James Elmore and Verdie Mae (Anderson) Roberts. She died Friday, May 28, 2012, in Jabez, Russell County, KY, at the age of 86 years, 5 months, and 11 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Home Church.

Preceded in death by a son, Marshall Johnson; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Johnson, and the following:
  • One son, Barry Johnson, Jabez, KY

  • Six grandchildren

  • Nine great grandchildren
