Wayne Moore, Adair County, KY (1930-2012)

He was a native of Adair County, KY, he was the son of the late Lawrence Moore and the late Terry Hayes Moore. He was the brother of Bobby Moore of Columbia, KY, and Danny Moore of Campbellsville, KY. He was the patriarch of a highly regarded family. His marriage to Jean Bryant Moore endured over 58 years. He leaves nine direct living descendants.Mr. Moore was of the Baptist Faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired diesel mechanic for Kelly Leasings, Columbus, IN. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, fishing, and Nascar racing.

Wayne Moore, 82, Edinburgh Indiana, died Sunday, December 23, 2012, at 9:56pmCT/10:56pmET, at Homeview Center in Franklin, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET, Friday, December 28, 2012, at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E Main Cross Street, Edinburgh, IN, with Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, between S. Eisenhower DR and US 31 near their intersection, in Edinburgh, IN. Visitation is 3pm-7pmCT/4pm-8pmET, Thursday, December 27, 2012, at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be provided by Edinburg American Legion Post No. 233.



Wayne Moore, Adair County, KY (1930-2012)

A native Adair County (Edmonton, KY, address), KY, he was born Monday January 15, 1930. He was the son of the late Lawrence Moore and Terry Hayes Moore. He died Sunday, December 23, 2012, in Franklin, Johnson County, IN, at the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 8 days.

He united in marriage to the to Jean Bryant Moore, who survives, on September 20, 1954.

He is also survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Deborah (Larry) Oliver of Mt. Auburn IN, and Donna Yates of Columbus, IN

  • Three grandchildren: Joshua (Jodi) Oliver, Travis (Marianne Oliver, and Shane (Becky) Yates

  • Four great grandchildren: James Oliver, Joseph Oliver, Piper Oliver, and Gage Oliver

  • Brothers: Bobby (Jerry) Moore of Columbia, KY; and Danny (Phyllis) Moore of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Moore, and two sister, Elsie England and Doris Gathof.

Mr. Moore was of the Baptist Faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired diesel mechanic for Kelly Leasings, Columbus, IN. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, fishing, and Nascar racing.
