Mr. Grady D. Cope, age 74 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Monday December 24, 2012 at The Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky.

Funeral Services for will be conducted Friday, December 28, 2012 at 11amCT/12pm noon ET, in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with burial in the Amonett Cemetery in Pickett County, Tennessee. Visitation will be after 3pmCT/4pmET, Thursday December 27, 2012 until the funeral time on Friday.



Mr. Grady D. Cope, Burkesville, KY (1938-2012)


He was born in Clinton County, Kentucky on Friday, January 14 1938 the son of Stanley U. and Ollie Mae Walker Cope. He died Monday, December 24, 2012, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 10 days. He was a member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church, and a dairy farmer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Noel Cope and William "Bill" Cope and an infant daughter, Lana Cope.

He is survived by his wife, Wilda Martin Cope, of Burkesville Kentucky whom he married July 20, 1957, and the following:
  • His son: Lane (and Ellen) Cope of Burkesville, KY

  • His brothers: Harlan (and Myra) Cope of Byrdstown, TN;, Danny (and Carol) Cope of Byrdstown, TN; and Printis (and Barbara) Cope of Muncie, IN

  • His sisters: Letha (and Tab) Easterly of Niceville, FL; and Rita Graham of Albany, KY

  • His granddaughters: Amanda (and Whitney) Parks, Ashley Stotts, and Alisha Cope

  • His great grandchildren: Christian, Evan, Tripton, Cole, Ella, Macey
