Regina R. Murphy passed away Tuesday December 4, 2012 at the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY. She was 72.

Funeral services are 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Friday, December 7, 2012 at the McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Linville Hatter officiating. Burial is at Murphy Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT at the funeral home.



Regina Murphy, Casey Co., KY (1940-2012)


She was born Friday, June 14, 1940 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Ray and Ruby Oressa Rubarts Hammonds. She died Tuesday, December 4, 2012, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 72 years, 4 months, and 18 days.

She was an employee of American Greetings and member of the Dunnville Christian Church.

Regina was the widow of George Murphy, who passed away October 14, 1994.

Survivors include the following:
  • A son: Jody Ray Murphy of Liberty, KY

  • A daughter, Rita Kay Dunham of Waynesburg, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Tiffany, Tristan, and Tyler Dunham

  • Six great grandchildren: Jansen Dunham, Cheyenne Britt, Austin Britt, Madison Dunham, Bryson Dunham and Bronson Dunham

  • and sister, Ina Davis of Liberty, KY
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a grandchild, Timothy Dunham; great-grandchild, Ethan Dunham; and sister, Louise Hammonds.
