Adair Co., KY, Red Letter Day; 1st woman becomes Circuit Judge

Gender equality takes a giant step today in Adair County, when Judge-Elect Judy Vance will take oath of office as first ever woman to hold the powerful office of Circuit Judge for Adair County, KY.

Circuit Judge Elect Vance will be sworn in as Circuit Judge for Adair and Casey Counties at 2pmCT, Friday, November 30, 2012, at the Adair Judicial Center, 201 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.

The public is invited. After the ceremony, refreshments will be served. Judge Vance will begin her historic tenure - she's the first woman ever to hold the office - which she will assume on Monday, December 3, 2012.
